The Empathy Assembly

 
On Friday , November, 29 2013 we had a empathy assembly. And Miss de Groot’s class put it all together with Miss Sousa. And it was awesome. And in our class we are a group working class so everyone did some thing in it or did some thing for it. And it was the same day as pj day so the whole class that talked in it was talking in front of the school in pj’s at the assembly. At the assembly we talked about bullies and that no one should not be a bystander so once we were done talking about not being a bystander we told everyone if you see bullying happen to go over and try to stop it.  And five people did a game that said something on it then after we were done all the students that had happened to them then they would stand and look around with out talking and see all the people that have some- thing in common.

And some people from the OPP came and the mayor came and everyone got a wits or leads sticker badge.

OUR CLASS TRIP WAS AWESOME!!

'Tis the season to dust off your skates!!!!

We had so much fun skating with Miss. Reddick and Ms. de Groot. Skating was so fun because I was just relearning how to skate because I had not skated in a long time and my two friends Mikhayla and Maeve helped me start off ( thank you ). Once I got going, it was so fun we skated around for an hour!!!
 

We thought that City Hall was going to burn to the ground!!!!!!!

Well, at least until the people who worked there told us that the fire drill was just a test run but it seemed real because 3 fire trucks came to City Hall. Meanwhile we were all freaking out because we smelled smoke but it was just from the hotdog cart near us!!! After we got to see the rooms where they have all of Kingston’s meetings. 

We were on the radio!!!!!

After all the skating and going to City Hall we were so excited to see Mr. Farquhar’s radio station we went in and saw where they do interviews (LIVE) and saw all the rooms where they pick the music and edit the music. In the end we got to go into one of the rooms and say, "You’re listening to 101.9 CFRC. Queens’s radio" and "Happy holidays from the grade 5/6 class at Perth Road Public School". It was so fun!!!

P.S. Thank you Ms. de Groot, Miss Reddick, Mr. Farquhar and Tara for taking us on this awesome trip!!
