Remembrance Day

On Remembrance Day I was the MC with Abby at our assembly! I got to go and speak in front of the whole school. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! I was also in the choir and we sung two songs called Shine a Light For Peace and Amani Utupe. I had to keep running back and forth. I loved my job in the assembly!

Peace Quilt

On November 11, we want you to remember all the brave individuals who have served and continue to serve our country in wars and peace keeping missions across the globe.When remembering the men and women who risk and risked their lives that we may now live in freedom and peace, we can think about how we can make our world a more peaceful place. Each member of our Perth Road school community made a section of this peace quilt, sharing their ideas about what peace means to them.

Youth Mentoring Youth!

Look who came to our classroom today!
Youth Mentoring Youth inspired our students to write about environmental topics. Here is one introduction to a speech from the House of Commons, written in the role of a Member of Parliament. 

                                       Do You Want To Stay Living ?
Well if you do we have to keep our earth clean. Also too many people are killing bees and killing bees mean no trees and no trees means no people. We need you to help. Only we can make a difference so get off your electronics, go out side and clean our earth . Then we can stay living and not die.
