'Tis the season to dust off your skates!!!!
We had so much fun skating with Miss. Reddick and Ms. de Groot. Skating was
so fun because I was just relearning how to skate because I had not skated in a
long time and my two friends Mikhayla and Maeve helped me start off ( thank you
). Once I got going, it was so fun we skated around for an hour!!!
We thought that City Hall was going to burn to the ground!!!!!!!
Well, at least until the people who worked there told us that the fire
drill was just a test run but it seemed real because 3 fire trucks came to City
Hall. Meanwhile we were all freaking out because we smelled smoke but it was
just from the hotdog cart near us!!! After we got to see the rooms where they
have all of Kingston’s meetings.
We were on the radio!!!!!
After all the skating and going to City Hall we were so excited to see Mr. Farquhar’s
radio station we went in and saw where they do interviews (LIVE) and saw all
the rooms where they pick the music and edit the music. In the end we got to go
into one of the rooms and say, "You’re listening to 101.9 CFRC. Queens’s
radio" and "Happy holidays from the grade 5/6 class at Perth Road
Public School". It was so fun!!!
P.S. Thank you Ms. de Groot, Miss Reddick, Mr. Farquhar and Tara for taking
us on this awesome trip!!
