Gould lake Narrative

My class went on a trip to Gould Lake. We started a fire to cook our hamburgers and banana boats. I felt hurt when an ash fell on my HAND (the fire went up and an ash came out and landed on my hand). My hand was red when I put it in the snow. My thoughts were yum when I ate my hamburger. We had to solve the problem of the banana boats when I forgot the tinfoil at home so we had to put them on a stick and cook them.
My experience is to go back next year because it was fun making the banana boats.

A Day At Gould Lake

Last week our class went on a trip to Gould Lake for a day. We also had a campout and all sorts of things! We had to stay with our group and start a fire on our own! Also keep it going. All groups chose a different meal. We had the most to eat from chicken wings, salad, steak, potatoes, chips, to slushies! Many people chose easy things to eat like hotdogs and marshmallows. We also got to choose the location of where the fire could be. Our group chose a place with lots of trees so it looked like a fort, so we could hang our coats on the trees. When we started eating I was overwhelmed thinking, “Did we really just cook an amazing meal over an open fire?” Gould Lake was the best trip I’ve been on!

A Day at Gould Lake

Last week, our class went on a fabulous field trip to Gould Lake. We looked at maps, did a scavenger hunt, went on a hike, and camped out… It was awesome!
Ms. de Groot gave us instructions to think of two moments that we had at Gould Lake and write a narrative about them. I chose during the scavenger hunt and when we camped out. They were my two favourites.
Here are my two favourite moments:
During The Scavenger Hunt
“Go!” yelled one of the leaders of Gould Lake. So, as we started running in a random direction, I suggested, “Why don’t we go up that hill?” “Ok,” replied Nick while looking at the map. “It looks like there’s one up there anyway.”
So, we finally made it up the hill, and guess what? There was one! “Number two, here we go!” said Nick excitedly.
One Hour Later
“I’m exhausted,” I panted to the others. “So am I,” they all agreed at the same time. “Look on the bright side guys… We just got our nineth one.” Nick sighed. “Now let’s go get our tenth.”
Five Minutes Later
Hoooooooooooooooonk went the air horn which sounded the ending. “We were so close to getting the tenth one,” we all complained. “At least we get to eat.” I replied happily.
The Refreshing Time At Campout
As I was chewing on a delicious piece of steak, I heard the marvelous birds chirping and the sound of overjoyed people mumbling to their friends.
“Hey Nick,” I said after a gulp of slushie, “Don’t you think this is the best field trip ever?” “Yes!!!” Nick said excitedly over a mouthful of salad. “I can’t wait to see what we do next!” “My hands are cold,” complained Ben while he was on his way to the fire. “Am I allowed to go and see my friends?” asked Cole. “Sure,” replied Sheila (Nick J’s mom). “Let’s cook some Doritos!” said Ben while he was warming his hands. “What?” asked Sheila. “Let’s cook some Doritos!” Ben said again. “Cole said it was good.” “Ok,” Sheila replied, confused. So, we ended up cooking the Doritos and they were pretty good… They tasted the same, just hot and smoked.
Ten minutes later
“I wonder what we’re doing next?” I said as I was packing up. “I hope we’re going back.” Ben replied. “Let’s go hiking!” shouted the leaders of Gould Lake. “I guess that’s what we’re doing,” sighed Nick.

The  GouLD Lake Adventure
One day a class went on a school trip, they thought it would be fun they thought,
 “yay! A field trip!”
Then they split up. And they climbed. The students now cold and tired climbed up a hill, down a hill and up again! Then one group found a den, a den of a fox! Suddenly it attacked! Someone punched, someone kicked, this small group of kids were fighting a fox and saving an adult! The woman with these amazing kids tells us about the attack…

“The fox just attacked and so did the kids!”

These kids will go down in history! And I can assure you this story is 100 % non-exaderated and by that I mean TOTALLY FAKE! THE END!

The Gould lake theory...

I was dreadfully tired walking and walking and walking looking for a tiny stapler with a torn map guiding us the way. I’m hungry, starving to be exact. Oh what do you know a tiny piece of excitement strapped to a tree. As I think in my head “why am I so excited for  stapler “? The other side of me says “BECAUSE I WANT TO WIN! Oh… the other side says… AHH what’s that noise it sounds like an air horn wait… A BLOW HORN!!! Nooo now I have to find my way back… uh oh I’m lost…

TO BE CONTIUED…

My Gould Lake adventure!

There were times I thought my toes would fall off!
The whole thing started with a long, bumpy bus ride. Kids screaming and yelling. Then, the whole bus went quiet and Ms. deGroot walked off.
We waited for what felt like hours. Eventually, we were escorted into and old barn surrounded by trees, trees and more trees. There, we discussed the rules and regulations, followed by a 5 minute snack.
From there, we took a hike that felt like miles. When we got to our destination, we were given maps and set off into the wild. Our mission was to find the 12 checkpoints and win the game.
After that, we cooked our lunch on an open fire.
Then we packed up our things, took a short hike and returned to the barn. From there, we played some games and hopped back on the bus.
Over all, the Gould lake adventure was a blast!
